RusticAgentic is built and maintained by a single founder who owns the full stack — from the cryptographic vault to the GPU inference server to the WASM frontend. No outsourced components. No black boxes. Complete accountability.
Scott is a systems engineer whose career spans web development, enterprise IT, information security, data engineering, and sovereign AI infrastructure. His relationship with computing started in the 1980s on a Mac SE/30 with HyperCard at Haverford Preparatory School — that instinct for building interactive systems has driven every project since.
In the early 2000s he ran his own architectural design firm, working alongside attorneys daily. He watched them depend on LexisNexis to search legal records — expensive, cloud-dependent, and outside the firm's control. When he later began building a Rust-based RAG system, that experience pointed him directly at legal AI as the right market.
Since late 2022, long-term disability has ended his ability to work onsite. He has used that time for something most engineers never get: uninterrupted, full-time technical immersion. No commute, no meetings, no context-switching — just deep, sustained study of the hardest problems in systems programming, AI infrastructure, and applied cryptography.
He holds an AWS Certified Solutions Architect and a Databricks Certified Developer for Apache Spark (Scala track). He completed a six-month structured Python RAG AI course, then deliberately rebuilt the entire pipeline from scratch in Rust — no frameworks, no external AI APIs, every layer owned. He has developed deep expertise in prompt engineering for legal domain accuracy, and has studied Kubernetes, post-quantum cryptography (NIST FIPS 203/204), CUDA GPU computing, and distributed systems architecture in parallel with production code.
His web roots in hosting began in 2012 at Endurance International Group (now Newfold Digital) and GoDaddy — Linux servers, VPS environments, and high-traffic web hosting at scale. That foundation informs everything about how RusticAgentic deploys. He is also the inventor of skr8tr — the orchestrator built for web developers. Deploy microservices fast, stay compliant, sleep at night. 5 MB control plane, no Docker, no YAML, no Kubernetes complexity — every deploy ML-DSA-65 signed before the platform touches it.
He operates a separate data engineering practice at duckdatamaster.guru — high-performance single-node analytics using DuckDB, replacing expensive Databricks and Snowflake stacks for teams overpaying for cluster compute. Benchmarked at 172 million rows/second on a single workstation — 167 million NYC taxi records, 5 queries, under one second.
Multi-year deep study — production systems software, async runtimes, memory-safe concurrent architecture. Every RusticAgentic crate is pure Rust, zero GC, zero JVM.
C23 systems programming — distributed mesh protocols, GPU worker nodes, UDP fabric implementations. Sovereign compute at the metal.
Six months of structured Python RAG AI study — vector indexing, hybrid BM25/HNSW retrieval, embedding models, context assembly, LLM generation. Then rebuilt the full pipeline from scratch in Rust, owning every layer without framework dependency.
System prompt design, retrieval-aware context construction, and instruction tuning for legal domain accuracy. Applied in RusticAgentic's pipeline to shape how the model reasons over privileged documents without hallucination.
ML-KEM-768 key encapsulation and ML-DSA-65 digital signatures — NIST FIPS 203/204. Every vault shard AES-256-GCM encrypted with ML-KEM wrapped keys. Every deliverable carries an ML-DSA-65 signature.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate). Production deployments across AWS, Azure, and GCP — sole-tenant compute, managed secrets, encrypted storage, private networking.
Databricks Certified Developer (Scala). Apache Spark 3.5 at scale, functional programming patterns, multi-cloud ingestion. Separate DuckDB practice at duckdatamaster.guru — 172M rows/sec on a single node, Spark/Databricks migration, S3 data lake architecture.
CUDA kernel development, ONNX Runtime CUDA EP, llama.cpp GPU offloading. Benchmarked on A100 80GB SXM — 1.7s average query latency across 150 legal documents.
Container orchestration, workload scheduling, resource isolation — applied to multi-tenant sovereign deployment architectures.
Career roots in web development — Linux server administration, VPS hosting, and high-traffic infrastructure at Endurance International (now Newfold Digital) and GoDaddy. Full-stack understanding from bare metal to the browser.
Inventor of skr8tr — the orchestrator built for web developers. 5 MB control plane, no Docker, no YAML, ML-DSA-65 signed deploys. "Kubernetes was built for Google. You are not Google."
HIPAA compliance engineering, HITRUST audit remediation, enterprise vulnerability management (CrowdStrike, CyberArk, Qualys). Attorney-client privilege architecture for legal document vaults.
